Ukrainian partisan organization Atesh used a car bomb to eliminate a Moscow-appointed “deputy head” of Kherson regional occupation administration in Nova Kakhovka, Atesh said in a Telegram post on March 13.
According to the report, an Atesh operative blew up the collaborator in Nova Kakhovka at 12:10 p.m. on Pobeda Avenue near his car. The report notes that no civilians were injured in the attack.
At the same time, the organization added that they are waiting for confirmation that their intended target was killed.
“In any case, it will serve as a reminder to the ‘Ruscists’ and their minions that we won’t allow them to act with impunity on Ukrainian soil,” Atesh wrote.
On March 11, Atesh members blew up the railway link between Abrikosovka and Radensk in Kherson Oblast.
As a result of the sabotage, supply routes of Russian forces in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts were disrupted.
Ukraine’s Operational Command South spokesperson Natalya Humeniuk said that sabotaging the railway track in Kherson Oblast was a “rehearsal” for a bigger operation.
