Ukraine’s Defense Forces have succeeded in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhya areas amid the ongoing counteroffensive, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar reported on Telegram on June 14.

Over the past day, Ukrainian troops advanced 200-500 meters in various sections of the Bakhmut area, as well as 300-350 meters in the Zaporizhzhya area, she said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian soldiers are moving forward amid fierce battles and enemy aviation and artillery superiority, Malyar stressed.

Fighting continues near the village of Makarivka in the Berdyansk area and the villages of Novodanylivka and Novopokrovsk in the Mariupol area.

Russian invaders are suffering heavy losses in manpower, equipment, and weapons, the official said.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian military destroyed:

• An artillery battery of self-propelled guns.

• Two radio electronic warfare systems.

• A cluster of automotive equipment (up to 10 pieces).

• A reconnaissance and fire control radar system.

• An air defense missile system.

Despite fresh Russian massive attacks on Ukrainian peaceful cities, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue counteroffensive operations.

Ukrainian defenders moved the front forward 6.5 km and liberated seven settlements in the past week, Malyar reported on June 12.

The Ukrainian military has succeeded in the Berdyansk, Bakhmut, and Toretsk areas, Ukrainian General Staff spokesperson Andriy Kovaliov said on June 13.
