The United States plans to continue the supply of multiple launch rocket artillery systems (MLRS) to Ukraine with the aim of helping Ukraine beat back Russia, stated John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the U.S. National Security Council, according to The Voice of America on June 23.

He said that continued deliveries of HIMARS were "very likely".

“We will help the Ukrainians in any way we can, and as quickly as possible,” Kirby insisted.

“Weapons are arriving at a record speed that I have never seen. Deliveries are made literally every day. And not only from the US, although we are the largest supplier. More than 40 other countries also contribute to security in one form or another.”

He noted that the Ukrainian side determines what operations it will conduct with the use of American weapons, since the weapons are the property of Ukraine now, and they themselves will decide how they will use them.

He added that the United States wants Ukraine to win as soon as possible.

Kirby didn’t rule out a meeting between U.S. President Joe Biden and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, if national security interests require it.
