Verified Russian troop losses approaching 20,000 KIA

Russian journalists were able to verify that Moscow’s forces lost nearly 20,000 troops KIA in Ukraine, Russian media outlet Mediazona and BBC Russian Service reported jointly on April 7.
The report says that 19,688 deaths of Russian soldiers have been confirmed by open sources, including 1,783 mobilized troops.
According to the report, more than 1,600 names have been added to the list in the last two weeks. Wagner Group mercenaries still account for most of the weekly deaths.
Furthermore, the journalists confirmed that at least nine Russian Lt. Colonels were killed in Ukraine in the last two weeks,
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about 480 Russian invaders were eliminated in Ukraine over the last 24 hours. In total, Russia’s losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 177,000 troops.
On April 6, Russian media reported that at least 8,000 Russian “volunteer fighters”, including Wagner mercenaries, could have died in Ukraine.
