The utter devastation of a Ukrainian HIMARS rocket attack on a Russian base in the occupied city of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast was starkly clear in a video published on Facebook by Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi on Aug. 17.

The ruins of several destroyed buildings in which the invaders had been based are seen, as well as a number of Russian military vehicles.

According to the Russians themselves, as a result of the strike, which was carried out by the Ukrainian military using HIMARS rocket systems, 12 enemy troops were killed, and another 10 were injured with varying degrees of severity.

"This is all that is left of our house,” one of the soldiers who managed to survive says, commenting on the destruction.

“And here, in the distance – all that remained of the signalmen. They clearly targeted us."

At the same time, it is not specified when exactly the strike that caused the damage in the footage was delivered.
