A video showing the aftermath of an alleged missile strike near the town of Klintsy in Russia's Bryansk Oblast, appeared on social media on Dec. 13, blasting away claims by local authorities that a Ukrainian missile had been shot down and did not cause any damage

The video appears to show buildings that match the layout of those in a Russian military repair base for tanks and infantry fighting vehicles located to the south of the town of Klintsy in Bryansk Oblast.

Local officials denied that the missile had found its mark, however.

"At night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the town of Klintsy,” the oblast’s governor, Aleksandr Bogomaz, claimed on Dec. 13.

“The missile was destroyed, some parts fell on the territory of an industrial zone.”

However, the published footage suggests otherwise: A huge crater is visible at the place of the strike, next to which there is damaged Russian military equipment.

"Here we f**king go,” says the person shooting the video – presumably a Russian soldier – as he records the footage. At least three Russian soldiers are visible in the footage, as are infantry fighting vehicles covered with earth blasted from the crater.

“Here is our canteen nearby. And here is the damaged barracks,” the person shooting the video says.

He also zooms in on an upside-down infantry fighting vehicle, which was presumably overturned by the force of the missile blast.
