Ukrainian force regained control over the village of Snihurivka in Mykolaiv Oblast, raising the flag of Ukraine, analysts from the Ukrainian military analytical group Deep State reported on Telegram on the night of Nov. 10, noting that "just like in Davydiv Brid a month ago, the enemy left Snihurivka under the cover of darkness".
The confirmed start of the liberation of Snihurivka was announced on Nov. 9.
The first video of the Ukrainian military in the village appeared the next day, during the afternoon of Nov. 10..
"Today, on Nov. 10, 2022, the settlement of Snihurivka was liberated by the forces of the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion," a serviceman can be heard saying in the video.
The settlement’s liberation paves the way for the further liberation of Kherson city itself, as the village is a key strategic settlement that serves as a convenient bridgehead on the banks of the Inhulets River. It is also an important railway junction.
Snihurivka had been under the control of the Russian invaders since March 2022. To hold the settlement, the Russian Armed Forces deployed significant forces there and strengthened the defense with fortifications.
