Polish intelligence services are observing signs that Russia is descending into chaos and weakening due to the war against Ukraine, Poland’s Government Commissioner for Information Security, Stanisław Żaryn, said in a Twitter post on Jan. 3.

According to Żaryn, mass detentions that are taking place in Moscow, while domestic special services are acting “out of panic,” the military has to raid in search of conscripts, and Russian military bases are routinely rocked by explosions.

“Latest data indicate that Russia is plunging in chaos,” he wrote.

Żaryn added that the economic crisis in Russia is growing and the country is becoming unable to provide citizens with “even the basic services.”

“The war waged against Ukraine is weakening Russia – that's good news!” he concluded.
