Ukraine uses Western weapons only to defend itself and liberate occupied territories, and will not deploy them against targets inside Russia, adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, said in a Twitter post on Feb. 7.

“The weapons provided by the allies are used for defense, de-occupation of Ukrainian territories, and destruction of enemy warehouses,” said Podolyak.

Earlier on Feb. 7, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, said that Ukraine already has weapons that can reach and destroy targets within Russia.

On Feb. 6, a drone exploded 150 kilometers from Moscow, near the city of Kaluga. According to Defense Express, it was most likely a converted Soviet-era Tu-141 Strizh jet-powered reconnaissance drone.
