Winter holidays in Kyiv schools will begin as scheduled but will last for one month, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said in a Telegram messenger post on Nov. 14.

According to the official, school children will go on holidays from Dec. 26, 2022 to Jan. 27, 2023.

During this time, schools will be heated at minimal mode to maintain the heating system and stop pipes from freezing, he said.

According to Klitschko, teachers will be able to go on paid leave during the winter holidays.
