Zelensky says almost 9,000 Russian soldiers killed since war in Ukraine
Almost 9,000 Russian invaders have been killed since the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on March 3.
“Our army is doing everything to finally break the enemy,” Zelensky said.
“Almost 9,000 Russians have been killed in one week. In the direction of Mykolaiv, the invaders have to take dozens of helicopters to pick up those killed and wounded. (Boys of) 19 years old, 20 years old – what have they seen in life, besides this, besides the invasion of a foreign land?”
The Ukrainian president added that most of the dead still remain in Ukraine.
He called on the Russian military to demand that the command return them home.
“Ukraine does not want to be littered with corpses,” Zelensky said.
March 3 is the eighth day of a full-scale war with Russia. The second round of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations is scheduled for today, March 3, on the border with Belarus.
