Zelenskyy awards honorary titles to five brigades and anti-aircraft regiment

Five army brigades and one anti-aircraft missile regiment have been awarded honorary titles by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The honors are awarded under presidential; decrees № 606/2022 and № 607/2022, signed on Aug. 24.

The decrees states that:

  • The 3rd Separate Tank Brigade will now be called the 3rd Separate Tank Iron Brigade.
  • The 60th separate infantry brigade received the honorary title of Inhuletska.
  • The 61th Separate Infantry Brigade has now become the 61th Separate Infantry Steppe Brigade.

  • The 68th separate jaeger brigade was given the honorary name of Oleksa Dovbush.
  • The 110th separate mechanized brigade was given the title of Lieutenant General Mark Bezruchko.
  • The 1129th anti-aircraft missile regiment was named the 1,129th anti-aircraft missile Bilotserkivskyi regiment.
