Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the Ukrainian leader tweeted on Sept. 4.
According to Zelenskyy the two leaders discussed the need to allocate the next tranche of the EU financial aid as soon as possible.
The Ukrainian president also emphasized the importance of the eighth package of EU sanctions, including a ban on issuing visas to Russian citizens.
In addition, the officials talked about Russian oil pricing, with Zelenskyy stating he, “Coordinated with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen steps to limit Russia’s excess profits from the sale of oil and gas.”
European integration was also brought up in the President’s recap where he mentioned, “the possibility of a quick assessment by the European Commission as soon as Ukraine fulfills its seven recommendations.”
