Russian troops flee their own flood on stolen blue-and-yellow paddleboards – video

Due to Russia’s destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam, Russian soldiers on the east bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast have had to escape from their own flooding by pilfering or commandeering kayaks, as seen in this drone footage shared on Twitter on June 7.
The kayaks and paddleboards appropriated by the invading Russian looters happened to be yellow and blue - the hues of the Ukrainian flag, creating an ironic image of Russian forces escaping on vessels bearing Ukraine's national colors.
In Russia, this could be cause for arrest.
Russian troops that failed to obtain stolen watercraft had no choice but to wade through waist-deep floodwaters on foot, while others perched in trees awaiting for evacuation.
