Italy rejects Russian flags at 2026 Paralympics

Italy’s government expressed strong opposition to the International Paralympic Committee’s decision allowing six Russian and four Belarusian athletes to compete under their national flags at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Paralympics, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Sports Minister Andrea Abodi said in a statement on Feb. 19, according to the ANSA news wire agency.
