New bipartisan bill aims to choke Russian oil profits
A bipartisan group of U.S. senators has introduced the Decreasing Russia Oil Profits (DROP) Act of 2025,requiring targeted sanctions on individuals and entities involved in purchasing or facilitating the import of Russian oil and petroleum products, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna reported on Facebook on Dec. 17.
