EU proposes using €25 billion in frozen Russian assets to fund Ukraine
The European Commission has proposed that EU member states consider using €25 billion ($27 billion) in frozen Russian assets held in private banks across the bloc for a new “reparations credit” to support Ukraine — expanding beyond the €140 billion ($150 billion) currently immobilized in the Euroclear depository, Politico reported on Oct. 17.
