ISW: Russia steps up use of Shahed drones for frontline attacks
Russian forces are ramping up their use of Shahed-type drones to strike Ukrainian targets along the front line, according to a new report from the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), published on June 27.

On the night of May 17-18, Russian forces reportedly used the modernized, more powerful "Geran-3" drone, an analogue to the Iranian Shahed-238, in the largest single drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale aggression, according to a May 18 report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
