EU approves massive loan for Ukraine, shelves Russian asset grab
European Union leaders have agreed to provide Ukraine with a €90 billion ($105 billion) interest-free loan to cover its military and economic needs over the next two years, abandoning plans to immediately use frozen Russian assets, European Council President António Costa announced on X early on Dec. 18.
