Procurement agency scandal rocks Ukraine's MoD
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) simulates independent management of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) but continues to exercise control manually, according to Yuriy Dzhygyr, head of the DPA Supervisory Board, who was recently dismissed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The supervisory board of Ukraine’s Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) has unanimously voted to extend the contract of its current director, Maryna Bezrukova, for another year, the agency announced on Facebook on Jan. 21.
