NABU corruption case

Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have exposed an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast who allegedly received $68,000 to “resolve issues” related to removing two individuals from wanted lists and securing draft deferments for them, NABU said on its website.

Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has explained why it has stopped releasing new audio recordings in the high-profile Midas corruption case,saying investigators are currently collecting and analyzing evidence against other members of the alleged criminal network. The explanation was given by Oleksandr Abakumov, head of NABU’s detective unit, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, published Dec. 17.
