Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Sept. 17 placing the assets of several major foreign companies operating in Russia under temporary management, including Auchan, Nestle and an entity linked to the former Leroy Merlin chain, Russian news agency Interfax reported, citing Putin’s decree.

Since 2022, Swiss corporation Nestlé has been providing systematic support to Ukraine — one that goes far beyond humanitarian food deliveries. The total amount of assistance the company has directed toward Ukraine's needs since the beginning of the full-scale invasion has exceeded UAH 2 billion. This figure includes food aid for civilians, as well as direct funding for rehabilitation programs.
