Russia facing oil revenue collapse as direct talks with Ukraine resume
Russia’s oil revenues, a critical source of funding for its war against Ukraine, are sharply declining due to falling prices, tighter sanctions and Ukrainian drone attacks on tankers and refineries, pushing the Kremlin to raise taxes and debt while engaging in its first direct talks with Kyiv in years, The New York Times reported on Jan. 31.
