Hormuz blockade could send oil to $130 and trigger recession on par with 2008 crash
If the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz extends into August, it could push the global economy into a downturn comparable to the 2008 world financial crisis, Bloomberg reported on May 21, citing analysts at U.S. consulting firm Rapidan Energy Group.
