Ukrainian lawmakers back 90 proposals in first stage of 2027 budget approval

Ukraine’s parliament adopted a resolution endorsing budget recommendations for the draft 2027 state budget as the basis for further consideration, completing the first stage of the country’s annual budget approval process, parliamentary Budget Committee Chair Roksolana Pidlasa announced, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine on Oct. 27.

Ukraine's 2027 draft budget allots Ukrzaliznytsia $500 million, down from 2026

Ukraine's current draft state budget for 2027 provides about 22.5 billion hryvnias ($500 million) to support the operations of Ukrainian Railways, compared with 28.5 billion hryvnias ($633 million) in 2026 and 17 billion ($410 million) in 2025, Deputy Finance Minister Oleksandr Kava said on Oct. 23, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
