Businesses brace for ongoing war challenges and seek new strategies for survival

On October 2, a new event titled "Business and War: Dialogues About the Future" will be held in Kyiv from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For the third consecutive year, NV is bringing together business and government representatives for candid discussions on urgent issues facing entrepreneurs and effective solutions to address them.

Autumn typically marks a time for planning and goal-setting, but in the third year of a full-scale war, uncertainty looms large. Challenges such as lack of capital, unpredictable state actions, skilled labor shortages, energy resource scarcity, high loan rates, and logistics problems are compounded by the ever-present possibility of unforeseen disruptions.

Key questions include: How does Ukrainian business continue to operate under these conditions? What are its priorities and preparations? Is there potential for domestic investment? How can businesses access external funding? Is the "Made in Ukraine" initiative effective? What will happen to taxes?

Speakers include Vyacheslav Klymov, co-founder of Nova Poshta; Galina Gerega, co-owner of Epicenter K; Volodymyr Mnololetniy, CEO of Genesis; Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance; Rostyslav Vovk, CEO of Kormotech; Yevhen Zaigrayev, board member of PrivatBank; and Andriy Bukin, deputy chairman of the board of Pivdennyi Bank, among others.

Additionally, NV, in partnership with Odgers Berndtson Ukraine, will announce the best employer companies in the country. The event will feature successful business development stories amid the war, followed by an awards ceremony for the CEOs and HR directors of the winning companies.
