The total amount of donor commitments for grant contributions to Ukraine's Energy Support Fund has exceeded $1.07 billion, the Ministry of Energy reported on Dec. 17.

The fund's resources are allocated to restoring energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks and addressing the urgent electricity needs of communities.

Established in April 2022, the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine has become an effective tool for international assistance, allowing Ukrainian energy companies to recover from Russian strikes, repair infrastructure, and install new capacity, the Ministry of Energy said.

Donors to the fund include public and private sectors from nearly all EU countries, the UK, the US, and various international and regional organizations.

As reported, DTEK energy holding will receive $67.2 million from the European Commission and $46.1 million from the US government to restore capacities destroyed by Russian attacks and prepare power plants for winter.
