Exoskeletons revolutionize Nova Poshta terminals in bold efficiency pilot

The pilot aims to improve workplace safety and efficiency while reducing the physical strain on employees. 

Four exoskeleton models are being tested: Hypershell X GO, Hypershell X PRO, Hypershell X CARBON, and Hypershell X ULTRA. These devices assist workers during repetitive movements such as squatting, lifting, walking, or turning, taking over up to 30% of the muscular effort required. The technology is designed to make physical tasks easier, maintain a consistent work pace, and reduce fatigue by the end of shifts.

“We want to make work at terminals and depots safer and more comfortable for employees. Therefore, we are systematically reducing the physical load in those operational processes where full automation is currently more difficult to implement,” said Yevhen Khomenko, R&D Director at Nova Poshta.

“Our goal is to make warehouse operations easier, more stable, and more productive. For us, it is important not only how the use of exoskeletons affects fatigue levels, work pace stability, and comfort of use, but also that they are convenient, easy to adapt, and safe to use.” 

Following the pilot and employee feedback, Nova Poshta will evaluate whether to expand the use of exoskeletons and scale the technology across its operations.
