According to Forbes Ukraine, Kyivstar filed a corresponding application with Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee (AMCU) in December 2024. The company stated its intent to purchase Tech Uklon LLC, Uklon Corporate, Uklon Ukraine, and Cyprus-based UKLON LTD.
The AMCU confirmed that it received a request for permission allowing Kyivstar, through Uklon Corporate LLC, to gain control over Uklon Ukraine's assets. These assets support the company's operations in ride-hailing, delivery, and online advertising. All submitted applications are currently under review by the AMCU.
Serhiy Smus, co-founder and board member of Uklon, said in December 2024 that the service had received numerous acquisition offers, but none so far met the company’s interests.
Smus also mentioned that considering the wartime conditions, the company is valued at 7-8 times its EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization). Forbes Ukraine analysts estimate Uklon's current worth to be between $40 million and $80 million.
