Ukrposhta announced launch of new cargo offices

Ukrposhta plans to develop a network of cargo offices in the oblast centers of Ukraine in 2024, the Ukrposhta press service reported on Jan. 25.

The new cargo centers will focus on receiving and delivering parcels and will have a reception line for small shipments. 

The idea is to speed up the sending of packages.

"No more queues caused by clients paying household bills or collecting pensions," Ukrposhtasaid in a statement.

“These innovations will primarily help Ukrainian business owners with substantial shipment volumes."

According to Ukrposhta, 13 branches in Kharkiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi havealready been reformatted into cargo offices.

In the future, Ukrposhta plans to increase weight limits or, in some cases, waive weightrestrictions entirely. The company will also introduce closed-type cargo departments on thepremises of corporate clients. The company already works with ROZETKA, Yves Rocher,and Epicenter in this way.

"Ukrposhta is launching cargo offices that are suited for receiving and delivering largevolumes of shipments” commented Yosyp Bornak, Ukrposhta's Deputy CEO for Network Development.

“Container exchange will likely significantly speed up logistics. In addition, thse changes willallow us to relieve other offices and focus on social services in those locations."
