Nova Post launches largest logistics hub in Moldova with 10,000-parcel capacity

The hub covers 3,800 square meters (40,900 square feet) and brings together all key logistics processes in one location, from parcel sorting to customs clearance.

“The new terminal operates around the clock, seven days a week, and provides a full range of logistics services, including centralized parcel sorting, customs clearance, sorting for door-to-door delivery, and parcel locker deliveries. For customers' convenience, Cargo Branch No. 25 also operates on-site, handling shipments weighing more than 30 kilograms (66 pounds),” Nova Post said.

The terminal currently processes an average of 35,000 parcels per day, with a record of 80,000 shipments handled in a single day. It processes all types of shipments — documents, parcels and oversized cargo — for both domestic deliveries within Moldova and international shipments.

“In addition, the terminal now hosts Nova Post's first fulfillment hub in Moldova. It takes e-commerce in the country to a new level of speed: orders placed by 1 a.m. are delivered nationwide by the following morning. Symbolically, one of the first fulfillment customers was a Ukrainian brand that entered the Moldovan market and uses Nova Post's services to expand internationally,” the company said.

“Shipment volumes in Moldova continue to grow steadily, and consolidating all operations in one location has allowed us to meet this demand much more efficiently. As a result, we have reduced average delivery times by two hours. The new terminal has accelerated logistics: intercity routes now depart twice a day, while deliveries to branches are dispatched every 2.5 hours. We invested €800,000 ($940,000) in the new terminal, and that is an investment in speed and reliability for every customer in Moldova,” said Serhii Shapran, CEO of Nova Post Moldova.

The company said it plans to continue expanding its logistics infrastructure in Moldova, including the launch of a new sorting center in Balti.

Earlier, Nova Post launched its own courier delivery service in Czechia.
