The vehicles have been repaired and are ready to be deployed to the combat zone. 20 of the vans will be used on the Izyum front as part of the technical fleet of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. According to a serviceman with the call sign "Johnny," the Russians have not given up attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory in Kharkiv Oblast. Due to constant artillery shelling and drone strikes, the military is also losing transport vehicles.
"There is always a shortage of vehicles. Today, we have losses, and the replenishment of the vehicle fleet with wheeled equipment usually happens thanks to volunteers. Therefore, these 20 vans will solve many issues for us," said Johnny.
The defenders of Kharkiv Oblast from the Kraken special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Yevhen Konovalets Military School each received 10 vehicles.
"These vehicles will transport ordnance and personnel, and evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield. We often use such transport to evacuate people from frontline territories. These vans are fuel-efficient, easy to maintain, reliable, and maximally versatile, as they can be adapted for any task," commented "Hrom," a serviceman from one of the Defense Intelligence units.
"The vehicles will be used both in the training process for new recruits and in trips to the combat zone. Our instructors have gone through a difficult path as part of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade and Azov. However, there is nothing better than the knowledge that can be passed on based on personal experience, so they continue to visit the front, acquire new skills, and then teach them to the cadets," said Olena, the head of the military-technical service of the Colonel Konovalets Military School, call sign "Dama."
"The purpose of these vehicles is to serve and help our military fight the Russian invasion. We are sincerely grateful and deeply bow to each of our service members for their invaluable contribution to the fight for Ukraine. For our part, the MK Foundation is doing everything to be a reliable support and provide the help that is needed here and now," said Oleksandr Osoka, the foundation’s director.
To date, with the assistance of MK Foundation, over 1,800 vehicles, 30 medical vehicles, five firefighting vehicles, as well as motorboats, generators, charging stations, and special equipment have been procured. The total amount of aid has reached 869.8 million hryvnias ($21 million).
