"Nibulon's agreement with the Egyptian state-owned company is important for both parties," wrote Sergey Kalkutin, Chief Logistics Officer of the agricultural holding.
"For GASC, it primarily means ensuring the country's food security. Thanks to the supply of Ukrainian grain to the most remote areas, even the most vulnerable people in Egypt will have bread. By shipping high-quality Ukrainian grain to Africa, Nibulon continues to fulfill its mission of feeding the entire world."
Grain is delivered to Egypt via the Danube Grain Corridor using logistics capabilities of TTS (Transport Trade Services), with which Nibulon extended the contract for the new season.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine supplies food to 400 million people worldwide.
Prior to the Russian invasion, Nibulon had 27 transshipment terminals and crop reception complexes, a capacity for simultaneous storage of 2.25 million tons of agricultural products, a fleet of 83 vessels (including 23 tugs), and owned the Mykolaiv Shipyard.
Before the war, Nibulon cultivated 82 thousand hectares of land in 12 regions of Ukraine and exported agricultural products to more than 70 countries. In 2021, grain trader exported the highest volume of agricultural products since its inception - 5.64 million tons.
Nibulon's losses due to Russia's full-scale military invasion in 2022 exceeded $416 million.
Currently, the grain trader is operating at 32% of capacity, created a special unit for de-mining agricultural land, and was forced to move its headquarters from Mykolaiv to Kyiv.
