“About 150 jobs will be created at the facility, which will provide a full cycle of blood plasma processing in Ukraine. A production building and raw materials warehouse have already been constructed, and equipment has been installed. The company has invested €67 million, with the total cost of the first phase estimated at €75 million,” she wrote.
The prime minister said Biopharma already exports its products to dozens of countries and plans to expand its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
“In addition to production, the company systematically supports talented children and invests in biological education. It has established two biology classes in Kyiv and two BioSchools in Kyiv and Bila Tserkva. Students receive 10 hours per week of instruction in mathematics, chemistry and biology, free of charge. Plans include building another 25–30 BioSchools, with the next ones in Uzhhorod, Lviv and Dnipro,” she added.
Svyrydenko recalled that she had visited the construction site about a year and a half ago, when it consisted of “only a foundation and concrete supports.”
In September 2025, it was reported that construction of the plant in Uzhhorod was 80% complete, with commissioning works scheduled for early 2026.
