Russian forces have carried out large-scale attacks on Naftogaz facilities and infrastructure for the third consecutive day, the energy company reported on May 19.

“Critically important equipment at production facilities was damaged and destroyed in the attack,” Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi said.

“Personnel at one of the attacked facilities were evacuated. Most importantly, there were no injuries.”

Emergency services are working at the scenes.

The impact of the attack and the extent of the damage are still being assessed.

Russian forces later launched a ‘double-tap’ attack on rescue crews working on the scene, injuring 23 State Emergency Service workers.
