Ukraine will launch military tech cluster in spring

Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to launch a military tech cluster in spring 2023, using the existing Innovation Development Fund, Ukrainian media outlet Babel reported on Feb. 20.

The project is aimed at supporting specialists developing military technologies.

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, noted that this will be a platform for combining public and private initiatives to develop innovative solutions in the interests of domestic military industry, which will help Ukraine achieve technological superiority over Russia and bring victory closer.

Fedorov outlined the priorities of the program as following:

●         creation of a unified coordination platform in military tech field;

●         support for entrepreneurs working in military tech;

●         fast delivery of technological solutions to defense contractors;

●         effective interaction with all teams and stakeholders working in Ukraine and abroad.

The Ministry of Economy is said to also be involved in the project.
