Poll: Most Ukrainians not preparing for winter, over half taking no action
More than half of Ukrainians (56%) are not preparing for the winter, while 16% bought everything they needed last year, and the rest (28%) are preparing to face the cold in various ways, the latest Rakuten Viber survey reveals.
The survey results showed that about a third of Ukrainians (28%) are still preparing for the cold season. The most popular methods are purchasing warm clothes and blankets (8% of respondents chose this option) and insulating the room (8%).
Another 4% seal the gaps in the windows or insulate them, 2% buy a heater, 2% buy a charging station, and 1% buy a diesel generator. Some 2% of respondents did all of the above to prepare for winter. In addition, 1% of respondents are planning to move.
Last year, in a similar survey among Ukrainians as this year, more than half of the respondents (51%) did not prepare for the cold season.
The answers to the question "What are you doing to prepare for the cold snap?" were as follows:

- Bought a warm blanket/clothes - 8% (13% last year);
- I bought a heater - 2% (4% last year, another 1% bought a heat-reflective screen for a radiator);
