Vodafone Ukraine has suspended its account top-up service through its My Vodafone mobile app after JSC IBOX Bank revoked its license, the company said on Telegram on March 8.

“We’re already working on a new solution so that you can continue to top up your accounts quickly and conveniently,” the message said.

In the meantime, Vodafone Ukraine suggests customers top up their accounts using the free EasyPay online payment service.

The National Bank of Ukraine decided to revoke the banking license and liquidate JSC IBOX Bank on March 7.

Since the decision, IBOX terminals have stopped accepting payments for any services.

According to reports, the SBU and Bureau of Economic Security searched IBOX Bank offices and branches on March 8.

The NBU liquidated JSC IBOX Bank systemic violations in preventing money laundering and for its business relations with high-risk clients, such as sport poker tournament organizers.

Before taking the step of liquidating the company, over the last two years the NBU has provided written warning, fined the bank, removed one of its officials, and suspended certain operations.
