Emergency workers in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone rescued a moose calf caught in anti-drone netting, Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve wrote on May 10.
The rescuers said the calf’s mother remained nearby the whole time.
“A small moose calf got caught in anti-drone netting near the exclusion zone and couldn’t get out on its own,” the post read.
“Its mother remained nearby the entire time, not moving a step.”
The Chornobyl 11th State Fire and Rescue Unit rescued the calf, carefully freeing it from the netting. As soon as the young animal was untangled, it ran straight to its mother.
