Train No. 43 from Kyiv to the western Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk will be officially renamed in this year's schedule as the Stefania Express.

The renaming, to honor the winning song of the Kalush Orchestra in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, was announced by Oleksandr Kamyshin, the chairman of Ukraine's railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia, in a Telegram messenger post on May 15.

"The train stations of Kyiv, Kalush and Ivano-Frankivsk will greet this train with the song 'Stefania,'" he said.

"By the way, this will be the first train in the world named after a mother."

On May 14, folk-rap song "Stefania" brought Eurovision victory to Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra.

This is Ukraine's third victory in the international song contest.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Kalush Orchestra on winning the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest and announced that Ukraine would host Eurovision next year.
