Diia app glitch delays Eurovision’s national selection winner announcement by almost 24 hours

4 February 2024, 12:27 PM

The National Selection for Eurovision 2024 in Ukraine was marred by a glitch in the Diia app on the evening of Feb. 3, preventing viewers from voting for their favorite contestants. As a result, the organizers have decided to postpone the winner announcement until Feb. 4.

Voting will resume as soon as the technical issue is resolved and will continue until approximately 19:00 EET.

The finalists, judges, hosts and viewers will gather again in a shelter to announce the results of the judges' and viewers' votes, said one of the hosts, Timur Miroshnichenko.

For those who missed the live broadcast, a replay of the contest will be available on Suspilne Kultura TV channel at 15:15 EET.

This year's national selection was held without a live audience in the format of a televised concert. The organizers decided to keep the hall empty and not reveal the location for security reasons.
