Zelenskyy: 201 Ukrainians in Middle East helping stop Iranian drones

Kyiv has dispatched 201 military advisers to help the Gulf
states deal with Iranian
drone attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on March 17.
“These are military experts who know how to defend against Shahed drones,” Zelenskyy said in his remarks to UK MPs during his visit to London.
“Our teams are already in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia and are heading to Kuwait. We are cooperating with several other countries — agreements have already been signed. We do not want the Iranian regime’s terror against its neighbors to succeed.”
On March 5, Zelenskyy said Ukraine had received a U.S. request for help protecting the Middle East from Shahed drones after the U.S.–Israeli attack on Iran.
On March 10, the Ukrainian president said he had sent three teams of experts and interceptor drones to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
Axios reported that Ukrainian officials about seven months earlier had offered the United States their battle-tested technology for countering Iranian drones, but the Trump administration was not interested.
On March 13, the U.S. president insisted Washington did
not need help from Ukraine in fighting Iranian drones. “We know about drones
more than anyone. We have the best drones in the world,” he said.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
