Invading Russian force launched a missile attack on the city of Dnipro, hitting a residential neighborhood and killing three people, as well as injuring five, regional governor Valentyn Reznichenko reported on Telegram on Sept. 29.
A child was among the three killed.
Reznichenko reported that a 12-year old girl was one of the injured. Rescuers recovered her from a destroyed building.
A number of residential houses were also destroyed, and emergency workers continue to dig through the rubble for survivors.
In total, the attack caused damage to over 60 houses and several high-rise buildings. The city market, buses, cars, and power lines were also affected.
On Sept. 28, the invaders fired five Kh-59 guided air missiles at Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force Command, four out of the five missiles fired by Russian Su-35 warplanes were shot down by defenders from the Dnipro Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade and the Nikopol Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of Air Command East.
