The Ukrainian military has already destroyed more than 300 Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, with six of the flying bombs being destroyed overnight, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat said during a briefing on Nov. 1.
Three of the suicide drones were destroyed by jet fighters patrolling in the area of responsibility of the East Operational Command, while three more were destroyed by air defense units in Poltava Oblast.
“Unfortunately, there have been several hits,” Ignat said.
The Russian invaders have already used more than 400 Iranian drones, while more than 300 of them have been destroyed.
Russia is reported to be seeking more of the drones from Iran, as well as short-range ballistic missiles to use in its attacks on Ukraine.
