The authorities of Russia’s Belgorod Oblast decided to take about 9,000 children to other oblasts due to regular shelling, Belgorod Oblast governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said, according to the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti.

He traditionally blamed the attacks on the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“We are evacuating a large number of villages today, we are currently planning to evacuate about 9,000 children from Belgorod, Belgorod District, Shebekino District, and Graivoron District,” Gladkov alleged.

“1.2 thousand children will go to Penza, Tambov, Kaluga and Stavropol Oblasts on March 22.”
