Air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv and several Ukrainian regions on March 15, due to the threat of approaching drones, Ukraine’s Air Force Command reported.
The Air Force reported drone movement from the north toward the capital, as well as drones heading toward Balabanivka from the Black Sea.
“UAVs in northern Kharkiv Oblast on course for Chuhuyiv and Rohan,” the command added. A drone was also tracked moving toward Sumy.
Overnight into March 15 (starting from 6 p.m. March 14), Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with 97 strike drones of Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types, including about 70 Shaheds.
As of 8 a.m., air defenses downed or suppressed 90 of the Russian drones. The military warned that the Russian attack is ongoing, with several hostile UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
