Medics targeted as Russia strikes Kherson ambulance (Photo: SES)
One person was injured in a Russian drone strike at an ambulance crew in Kherson late on Jan. 1, the City Military Administration reported on Telegram the following morning.
“The ambulance was damaged and the driver was injured by explosives dropped from a drone,” the administration said.
The 70-year-old driver sustained blast-related injuries, a closed head injury, and a concussion. He was hospitalized in moderate condition.
The attack occurred at around 10 p.m. while the emergency medical team was responding to a call to assist wounded residents in the city’s Dniprovskyi district.
