Another strong blast heard in Melitopol
Another strong explosion sounded to the south of Melitopol in the vicinity of Yakymivka village in the middle of the day, city mayor Ivan Fedorov reported on Telegram on June 4.
Thick smoke was seen rising after what was presumably the explosion in a video shared by local news outlet RIA Melitopol.
The Russian army's housing and storage facilities were reportedly hit.
Explosions have become regular in the occupied south of Ukraine, in particular in Berdyansk and Melitopol.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
