UNHCR financial assistance for Melitopol IDPs: how to apply
Residents of Melitopol and its administrative district who are temporarily living in Dnipro or Dnipropetrovsk Oblast can apply for financial assistance through the UNHCR's Help Space Melitopol Right Here initiative.
The assistance is specifically intended for internally displaced persons (IDPs) from this area who have a certificate confirming their status, and have not received financial payments from international organizations in the amount of $60 (UAH 2,200) per person in 2022-2023 and whose income does not exceed $145 (UAH 5,400) per family member.
Single parents with minor children, persons over the age of 55, people suffering chronic illnesses or disabilities, and families with foster children or unaccompanied children are all eligible.
Applicants must register online and provide their name, contact information, their vulnerability category, and their permanent address. They must also indicate if they have received assistance from any international charitable organizations.
Those interested are encouraged to call the hotline at 0 800 307 711.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
