Russian forces carried out about 10 strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine’s Zhytomyr Oblast overnight into Sept. 29, according to regional governor Vitaliy Bunechko.
The attacks targeted civilian sites, including transport and fuel infrastructure, as well as private businesses.
According to him, strikes were recorded in Zhytomyr, Korosten, Zviahel, and Ovruch.
Emergency responders and specialized services were working at the impact sites and areas where debris fell. No information about casualties had been reported so far, Bunechko said.
On Sept. 25, it was reported that Russian forces attacked the Kromberg & Schubert enterprise in the Zhytomyr municipality for the second time in one week.
Earlier, on Sept. 21, Russian forces attacked gas stations in Zhytomyr Oblast twice in one day. First, they struck a station on the M-06 highway near Zviahel. Later, Russian troops hit a WOG fuel complex in the Zviahel district.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
